John H. P. Brightman, III, 57, of Assonet, vice president of Brightman Lumber Co., husband of Joanne (Boudreau) Brightman and son of John and Nancy A. (Desmarais) Brightman, died Saturday, November 23, 2013. Besides his wife and parents, he leaves 3 sons, John H. P. Brightman, IV (Christine Dias) of Berkley, Dallas J. Brightman of Assonet and Nicholas John Andrade (Jennifer) of Fall River; grandchildren, Nicholas and Brady Andrade and Morgan Marks; siblings, Edward P. Brightman (Donna) and Patricia Arruda, all of Assonet and nephews, Edward Brightman, Jr., Justin Boudreau and Hunter Reusch and his honorary daughter, Melissa Vieira and her daughter Kacie Lynch of Fall River. His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Bernard Church, Assonet at 10:00 AM. Burial, Assonet Burying Ground. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
