John J. Bouchard

John J. Bouchard, 69, of 301 Milliken Blvd., Fall River, formerly of Thelma Ave., Somerset, died Wednesday, July 20, 2011. An electrician, he was employed by Plymouth Rubber, Canton, MA. He summered in Mashnee Island, Cape Cod and enjoyed clamming and Quahogging. Every year, he traveled to St. Kitts with his companion. John served in the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Survivors include a daughter, Martha Haskins and her husband Mark of Assonet, four grandchildren, Jacob, Thomas, Katelyn and Amanda, a great-granddaughter, Amber; three siblings, Claire A. Fitzgerald of Marlborough, Charles A. Bouchard and his wife Ann of Northborough, Lucille M. Soczek and her husband Edward of Camarillo, CA, his companion, Marie (DeSilva) Medeiros, nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Charles A. and Edith (Dupere) Bouchard. Following cremation, a funeral mass will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in St. Anne Church, So. Main St. Fall River. Burial following in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
