John B. Souza

John B. Souza, 97, formerly of Westport, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023. John was the husband of Mary A. (Gaspar) Souza. John grew up in Dartmouth on his family owned business,  Dutch Belt Dairy Farms. He also owned and operated the  John B. Souza and Son Milk Delivery of Westport. Most recently, he owned and operated Souza’s Garage in Westport, where he sold used cars. He was the son of the late Manuel B. and Maria (Almeida Mathias) Souza.

Besides his wife of 75 years, he leaves a son, John J. Souza (wife Carol); and a daughter, Cynthia Sampson (husband Ken);

grandchildren, Tracie Joseph (husband David), Josh Souza, Kerri Grundy (husband Justin Grundy) and Amanda Young (husband Jeff); great-grandchildren, Kyra Joseph, Maddox Joseph, Hailey Felix, Mathew Grundy, Savannah Young and Jacob Young and Jude Souza ; siblings, Gloria Santos (late husband John) and Daniel B. Souza (wife Pauline).

He also leaves numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by many siblings and was the son of the late Manuel B. and Maria (Almeida Mathias) Souza.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 26, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.  Burial will be private.
