Joao M. Teixeira

Joao M. Teixeira, 73, of Fall River, husband of Maria L. (Tavares) Teixeira, passed away Monday, November 9, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Porto Formoso, São Miguel, Açores, he was a food preparer at Chaves Market and he retired after working there for 30+ years. He enjoyed fishing, scratch tickets, watching Portuguese soccer, but most importantly, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Besides his wife of 44 years, he leaves three children, Cheri Santos (husband George) of Somerset, Joshua Teixeira (wife Jennifer) of Fall River and Ashley Teixeira (husband Jarod) of Fairhaven; four grandchildren, Ciera Santos, Luke Santos, Willow Teixeira and Lincoln Teixeira; a brother, Jose Teixeira (wife Maria) of Fall River and several nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 13th from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a Funeral Mass at Good Shepherd Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Face coverings and social distancing required.
