Joao L. Gervasio

Joao L. Gervasio, a devoted father and cherished brother, passed away at his home on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 59. Born in Porto Formoso, St. Michael, Azores, Joao's journey through life was marked by his dedication to his family and his work in the latex and textile industries.

Throughout his life, Joao cultivated a warm presence that was felt by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He reveled in spending time with his family and held a particular fondness for sandwiches. Joao's passion for coin collecting offered him countless hours of enjoyment, allowing him to explore history through the intricate designs of currency from around the world. He liked gardening and taking care of his fig plants.

Joao is survived by his son, Brandon Gervasio, and his two sisters, Mariana Gervasio Goncalo, who is married to Gervasio "Jeff", and Filomena "Fibbie" Gervasio-Arruda, who is married to Carlos. They, along with nieces, nephews and many friends, will forever cherish the memories created with Joao, remembering him for his humor, kindness, and unwavering support.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Antonio L. Gervasio and Maria de Jesus (Lopes Pacheco) Gervasio, as well as his late brother Antonio L. Gervasio (late wife Nancy), his brother Joe L. Gervasio and nephew  Rob "Gvo" Gervasio, the son of Antonio and Nancy

Visitation for Joao will be held on , Thursday, March 27th from 9 AM to 11 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River, with a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
