Joao S. "John" Cordeiro

Joao S. "John" Cordeiro, 62, a retired carpenter, of Westport, entered into rest Friday, April 22, 2016. He was the husband of 40 years of Laura (Sousa) Cordeiro; the father of David Cordeiro (wife Bernadette) of Somerset, Kelly Ann Cordeiro of Westport and the late Jason Cordeiro; the grandfather of Tyler and Kayla Cordeiro and Justine, Bobby and Jayson Luce; the brother of Joseph Manuel Cordeiro and Luis Cordeiro, both of Connecticut, Carlos Cordeiro of Westport, Mary Melo, Natalia Ferreira, Sally Borges and Tina Costa, all of Fall River, Filomena Raposo of St. Michael, Azores and the late Herman Cordeiro; and the son of the late Jose and Maria Anjos Cordeiro. He also leaves aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:15 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Espirito Santo Church at 9:30 a.m. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Monday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home.
