Joanne M. (Monti) Almeida

Joanne (Monti) Almeida, RN, 77, of Tiverton, wife of the late Joseph "Joe" Almeida, entered into eternal life Wednesday, July 12, 2023. She was employed as Director of Nurses at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center, Fall River.  Throughout her career in the geriatric nursing field, Joanne was a dedicated and compassionate caregiver.

Joanne enjoyed scrapbooking, eating sweets, especially chocolate, and reading books. She was a Disney enthusiast and visited Disney World several times with her late husband and family.

She leaves, four children, Kristen Arruda and her husband Nelson, Michael Almeida and wife Dorothy, Christopher Almeida and his fiancée Ada Sheridan and Brian Almeida and his wife Sarah; grandchildren, Joshua Almeida, Aaron Levesque, Jenna Resendes, Avery Almeida, Jacob Arruda, Cadence Almeida, Noah Almeida, Joseph Almeida and Wyatt Almeida; siblings, Frank Monti (wife Louise) and Paul Monti (wife Diane); nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Helen (Mello) Monti.

Following cremation, a visitation will be held Sunday, August 6th, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
