Joan (Carvalho) Medeiros

Joan (Carvalho) Medeiros, 71, of Rolling Green Dr., Fall River, widow of William Medeiros, passed away at home, Wednesday, June 27, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was employed by People, Inc. for many years. She leaves 6 children, Carol Giguere, William Medeiros, Jr., Michael Medeiros, Nancy Medeiros and Brenda Hunt, all of Fall River, and Rose Able of PA; 5 grandchildren, Nancy Aldrich, Cassie Rocha, Robert Hunt, Robert Jordan Giguere and Aaron Alton Thurston; 7 great-grandchildren, Alisha Kayla and Kendra Medeiros, Jamison, Ethan, Bartley, and Zachary Aldrich and Edward Reynolds III; a brother Robert Carvalho; nieces, nephews; and very close friends Dana Swale and Robert Hunt, Sr.. She was the mother of the late Joan McCabe; the grandmother of the late Nathaniel William Medeiros and Heather Medeiros; the daughter of the late Manuel and Isabel (Medeiros) Carvalho and the sister of the late Jimmy, Manny, John, Jack, Ben, Rose, Margaret, Bella, Helen, Raymond and Billy Carvalho. A funeral service will be held at a later date.
