Joan (Murphy) Gehan

Joan (Murphy) Gehan, 76, of Fall River, wife of the late Walter P. Gehan, Sr.,passed away Friday, June 11, 2021.

Joan enjoyed playing cards, bingo, cooking and reading a good mystery book.  She was employed as  a home health aide.

She leaves five children, Walter P. Gehan, Jr. of Fall River, Dawn Gehan of Fall River, Wendy Cotrone (her late husband Harry) of West Warwick, Eric Gehan (wife Stacy) of No. Dighton and Candice Gehan of Framingham; seven grandchildren, Brian, Steven, Christina, Nathan and Samantha Gehan, Selenia Cotrone and Reilly Medeiros; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Carol Ann MacKenzie, Sharon St. Lawrence of Fall River, Maureen Sokolski of Fall River and Donna Murphy of Assonet and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Tammy Gehan; the sister of the late George F. Murphy, Jr., Sheila Collier, Patricia Harris, Mildred Dechaine, Robert Murphy, John Murphy, Deborah Duhancik, and Bettylou Vin Derharrand; the daughter of the late George F. Murphy, Sr. and Evelyn (Gagnon) Murphy.

Her Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 14th, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Church, 1580 South Main St. Fall River. (Corner of South Main and Slade Streets)

PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH.

A graveside service will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery, Stafford Rd. Fall River.

There will be no visitation.
