Jenelle A. "Nelly" (Camara) Eaton, 17, of Fall River, died peacefully, her loving family and dear friends by her side, Saturday, November 21, 2015. A member of the Durfee High School, Class of 2016, she was a graduate of the W. S. Greene Elementary School and Kuss Middle School. A school cheerleader and softball player, she studied and performed with the Artistic Dance Studio, was active with Fall River Educational Television and was a "champion" Dollars for Scholars fund raiser. She was the recipient of a special Mayoral Citation for Inspiring the people of Fall River with her Courage and Strength. She leaves her parents Laura (Askew) Eaton and Joshua Eaton; siblings, Janessa (Camara) Eaton, Leigha Eaton and Ethan and Aiden Camara, all of Fall River; grandparents, Sharon Briggs of Norton, Gifford Askew, Paula and George Eaton and Maria Fatima and John Camara, all of Fall River; great-grandparents, Helen Askew and Laura Eaton, both of Fall River; step-grandfather, Edward Wright; step-great-grandmother Stephanie Briggs of Florida and aunts, uncles and cousins. She was also the great-granddaughter of the late Norman and Phyllis Briggs. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service at Grace Gospel Church, 3049 County St., Somerset at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Visitation, Tuesday from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. and from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. Donations, to help other families seeking alternative medical treatment, may be made to the Pray for Nelly Fund, St. Anne's Credit Union, 286 Oliver St., Fall River MA 02724.
