Jeannine M. (Ledoux) Giroux

May 8, 1923 — September 4, 2010

Jeannine M. (Ledoux) Giroux, 87, of Fall River, formerly of Nanaquaket Rd., Tiverton, wife of Paul A. Giroux, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2010. A 1941 graduate of L'Academie Jesus Marie, she participated in high school plays and concerts. Active with the Friends of Saint Anne's Hospital, Jeannine was a past-president and member for over 30 years. An accomplished pianist, she enjoyed concerts, music and choral. She also enjoyed traveling, Bermuda and Europe being her favorite destinations. Besides her husband Paul of 67 years, she leaves, two sons, Bernard P. Giroux and his companion Margaret Sweet of South Dartmouth and Claude A. Giroux of Taunton; seven grandchildren, Cena Thibodeau of Arizona, Aimee Brainard and her husband James of Florida, Camille Giroux of Chicago, Illinois, Emily Giroux and Philip Giroux, both of New Hampshire, and Andrew Giroux and Nicole Giroux, both of Taunton; five great-grandchildren, Morgan and McKenna Bilodeau, Hailey and Lily Brainard and Rhiley Giroux; and a brother, Bernard Ledoux of Clinton, CT. She was the daughter of the late Aldei and Cena (Maynard) Ledoux. Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 10:00 AM. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to Adams House, 1168 Highland Ave., Fall River MA 02720.
