Jeannette (Martel) Rioux

Jeannette (Martel) Rioux, 89, formerly of Milliken Boulevard, Fall River died Thursday, December 15, 2005 at Hathaway Manor, New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Eugene Rioux. The daughter of the late Reul and Blanche (Gauthier) Martel, she lived in Fall River most of her life. She worked in the garment industry for many years and was a former member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, St. Anne Senior Citizens Club and the Holiday Lanes Senior Citizens Bowling League. Survivors include a son, Ronald E. Rioux and his wife Pauline of North Attleboro; 2 daughters, Diane Wagner and her husband Donald and Janice Zeoli and her husband Gene, all of Tiverton; 2 sisters, Alice Chicca and Bertha Martel, both of Fall River; a brother, Hector Leo Martel of Orlando, FL 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandson and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Marie Louise Simard, Rose McCormack, Yvonne Fournier and Charles, Richard, Henry and Oscar Martel. Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 10:00. Burial Notre Dame Cemetery.
