Jeannette (Roy) Patenaude

February 7, 1909 — May 3, 2007

Jeannette (Roy) Patenaude, 98, of Chicago St., Fall River, died Thursday, May 3, 2007 at Clifton Rehabilitative Nursing Center, Somerset. She was the wife of the late Armand J. Patenaude. A lifelong resident of Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Augustin and Ceneville (Cloutier) Roy She was the secretary of Patenaude Bros. Inc. Excavating Contractors for 21 years. A dedicated volunteer of La Salette Shrine, Attleboro, she was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of the former St. Jean Baptiste Parish. She enjoyed playing cards and sewing for church benefits. She is survived by 2 daughters, Rita Hussey of Somerset and Florence Souza and her husband Michael of Sarasota, Florida; a son, The Reverend Andre A. "Father Pat" Patenaude, M.S., of Riverside, RI (a member of the La Salette Community of Attleboro); a sister, Aldea Deschenes of Swansea; 5 grandchildren, Crystal Cosgrove, Gregory Hussey and Wayne, Mark and Ann Marie Souza; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Doris Patenaude and the sister of the late Leo and Ovila Roy. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Trinity Church at 10:00. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Sunday and Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers. Donations may be made to La Salette Shrine Church, 947 Park St., Attleboro MA 02703.
