Jeanne (Brisson) Lafrance

Jeanne (Brisson) LaFrance, 85, of Sawdy Pond, Fall River, wife of the late Navy Commander, Philip H. LaFrance, entered into rest Tuesday, January 26, 2016. A former Tap Dance Director for Seniors at Ameri-Cana Resorts, Florida, Ballroom Dance Teacher and Girl Scout leader. She was an avid reader and stained glass artist, who enjoyed gardening, swimming, sewing, bicycle riding, line dancing, bowling and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She was the mother of Paul LaFrance (wife Kathleen) of Dubai, UAE, Michelle Puckett (husband Michael) of Florida, Joanne Desrochers (husband Richard) of Middleboro, Jacquie Hernandez (husband Juan) of Florida, P. Marc LaFrance (wife Amy) of Virginia and the late Gisele "GiGi" Andrade (husband David of Bristol, RI); grandchildren, Lisa Martinez Lewis, Jennifer LaFrance Pourfar, Melissa Miller, Paul M. LaFrance, Kathryn Miller Green, Danielle Desrochers Holdsworth, Steven Miller, Michael and Christopher Desrochers Chelsea, K. Nikki and Davy Andrade and Grace, Dominique and Abigayle LaFrance; the sister of Aime Brisson of Acushnet, Pauline Desrosiers of Tiverton, RI and the late Paul Brisson, and also leaves numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Omer and Bertha (D'Amour) Brisson. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Theresa Church, Tiverton at 11:30 a.m. Visitation, Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity or hospice of one's choice.
