Jeanne R. (Bedard) Garant

Jeanne R. (Bedard) Garant, 71, of Fall River, formerly of Cornhill Rd., Somerset, died Friday, May 16, 2014. A member of the BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1960, she was employed by St. Anne's Hospital for many years. She was active in the Somerset Schools PTO, was a Somerset Girls Softball League Coach and enjoyed bowling and crossword puzzles. She leaves her former husband Richard P. Garant of West Wareham; three daughters, Holly J. Garant of Fall River and Michelle L. Garant Wilson and her husband Daniel and Tracy A. Priestner and her husband Paul, all of Westport; grandchildren, Gabrielle and Christopher Wilson and Cabot and Alden Priestner; brothers, Paul Bedard of Westport, Russell Bedard of Wareham and Vincent Bedard of California and several nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Roger and C. Louise (Rochon) Bedard and the sister of the late André Bedard. Following cremation, her funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM at St. John of God Church, Somerset. Burial, North Burial Ground, Fall River. Visitation at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
