Jean Marie Phillipe

Graduated from D'youville Hospital, formerly Holy Ghost Hospital in Cambridge, MA in 1960. Jean also attended the University of Arizona and Cochese College of Sierra Vista, Arizona. She was employed in various hospitals as a Licensed Practical Nurse and dedicated 20 years of nursing to the U.S. Government. She served 7 years at Raymond W. Bliss Army Hospital at Fort Huchuca, Arizona and 13 years at Newport Naval Hospital, Newport, Rhode Island. After 36 years of nursing, Ms. Phillipe retired from Newport Naval Hospital on May 3, 1995.

She was the daughter of the late Mary Ann Mullaney and is survived by one brother, Francis Wing of Fall River, several nieces and nephews and good friend and caretaker, Susan Demelo. She was also the sister of the late Mary R. Hall, Kathleen Peterson, Lillian C. Goulet, Henry R., William D., Thomas, Michael and John Mullaney.

Jean's hobbies included: photography, playing the organ, politics and Church History.

Her visitation will be held Saturday, June 2 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, MA 02721. Memorial mass and burial will be announced at a later date.
