Jared J. Martel

Jared J. Martel, 27, of Tiverton and Fall River, died Saturday, November 5, 2011. A Tiverton High School graduate, he was a well know champion and all-star baseball player in his youth. He played in the Federal Little League at Kennedy Park, and with the Maplewood Babe Ruth Florida Team representing Fall River at the Disney World Baseball Tour, and also with St. Anne's CYO, Diman High School's Freshman Baseball Team, and the Tiverton High School Varsity Baseball Team. He also played in the Fall River Youth Soccer League. He leaves his parents, Annette (LeBlanc) Andrade of Tiverton and Jeffrey Martel of Fall River; his stepfather, Peter Andrade of Tiverton; a brother, Jordan P. Andrade of Tiverton; his grandparents, Mrs. Albert (Catherine) LeBlanc and Roger and Valerie Martel, all of Fall River; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM in St. Theresa Church, Tiverton. Please omit flowers.
