Januario E. Bonanca

Januario E. Bonanca, 75, of Watson Way, Fall River, husband of Natalia (Farias) Bonanca, died Monday, July 11, 2011. Born in Ponta Delgada, St. Michael, Azores, the son of the late Artur do Encarnacao and Gloria (de Medeiros) Bonanca, he was a commercial fisherman on the Island of St. Michael and employed by O'Day Boat Co., Fall River. Besides his wife of 52 years, he leaves 4 children, Manuel A. Bonanca (wife Maria D.) of Fall River, Delfino Bonanca (wife Michelle) of Taunton, Maria Martins (husband Gilbert), and Isabel Correia (husband Rick), all of Fall River; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; siblings, Jerdelina, Boa Nova, Fatima, Artur and Delfino; and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Bella and Manuel. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service in Christ the Rock Assembly of God, at 10:00 AM. Burial, Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation, Wednesday 5:00 to 9:00 PM.
