Janet (Jasmin) Ainsworth

July 31, 1943 — March 16, 2006

Janet (Jasmin) Ainsworth, 62, of Middletown, RI, formerly of Frost St., Fall River, died at home Thursday, March 16, 2006. She was the wife of John Ainsworth. Born in Fall River, the daughter of Vivian (Dufresne) Jasmin of Fall River and the late Albert Jasmin, she lived in Fall River most of her life and in Middletown for the past 5 years. A hairdresser, she owned and operated Classic Hair Design, So. Main St., Fall River for the past 25 years, prior to which she was co-owner of House of Jasmine. She was employed by Stop and Shop Supermarkets, Fall River and Somerset many years ago. She was past-president of the former South End Merchants Association, Fall River and a member of St. Columba's Chapel, Middletown. Besides her husband of 27 years and mother survivors include a son, David Plourde and his fiancee Melissa Haynes of Falmouth; a daughter, Kristina "Tina" (Plourde) Taglianetti and her companion Scott Cambra of Fall River; a stepdaughter, Linda (Ainsworth) Paiva and her companion Jeffrey Aguiar of Westport, MA; 4 grandchildren, Brandon and Ethan Cambra, Andrew Plourde and Shane Paiva; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was the sister of the late Paul Jasmin and Ronald Jasmin. Her funeral will be held Monday at 10:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Trinity Church, Fall River at 11:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care, 502 Bedford St., Fall River, MA, 02720.
