Jane Lillian Ledoux, 93 of Somerset, formerly of Tiverton, affectionately known as "Lil," passed away peacefully on October 26 2024, at her home surrounded by her children.
She was the wife of the late Louis A. Ledoux, Sr., for whom she was married to for 59 years.
She was vibrant soul who brought joy to everyone she encountered. Her love of baking, especially sweets, was legendary among her family and friends. and gatherings were always brighter and sweeter with her delightful confections. Beyond her culinary talents, she was also an exceptional dancer who could light up any room with her grace and joy. She found joy in bird watching, exploring yard sales, and engaging in spirited card games with those she loved.
Lil is survived by her beloved family, including her son, Louis "Butch" Ledoux, Jr. and his wife Lee; her daughter, Doreen Ledoux; her son, David Ledoux and his wife Alexandra; and her daughter, Michelle Marcano and her husband Lalo. She cherished moments spent with her grandchildren: Matthew Ledoux, Ryan Costa, Lauren Costa, Stephanie Richotte, Adam Ledoux, Emma Ledoux, and Isabella Marcano. The joy of her life expanded with the addition of her great-grandchildren: Alyssa, Cameron, Vasco, Nevaeh, and Kiley.
She held a special place in her heart for her siblings, Stephen J. Turner, John C. Turner, Jr., Patricia Anne Turner, and Michael W. Turner, along with her sisters-in-law, Laurie, Denise, and Diane, who were all a source of support and love throughout her years.
Lil was the daughter of the late John C. Turner and Margaret (Holden) Turner; the mother of the late Gail Richotte; and the grandmother of the late Shela Richotte.
The family would like to thank Hanover Hospice for their love and support and Jane's caregivers Maria, Natalie, Eduardo and Joyce.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 5, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday, November 6 at 9:00 AM from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Holy Name Church, Hanover St. at 10:00 AM. Burial in Hillside cemetery will be private.
