James A. "Robby" Robinson

August 15, 1925 — August 22, 2008

James A. "Robby" Robinson, 83, of Hingham, formerly of Ridge St., Fall River, husband of Mary (Hanlon) Robinson, died Friday, August 22, 2008. A graduate of Msgr. Coyle High School, Army veteran of the Korean War and Purple Heart and Bronze Star recipient, he was a career employee of the US Postal Service. Besides his wife of 52 years, he leaves 2 children, Joanne Robinson and her husband Prabhuling Patel of Boulder, CO and James L. Robinson and his wife Zilma of Quincy; grandchildren, Caroline and Camille Robinson and Maya Wydenbach; a great-granddaughter, Brooke Wydenbach; 3 sisters, Kathleen Lawlor of Swansea, Eloise Reinhagen of Somerset and Eleanor Chippendale of Tiverton and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late James and Ellen (Cavanagh) Robinson and the brother of the late Virginia Paquin and Marguerite Boudreau. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Mary Cathedral at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
