James P. Pacheco, Sr.

James P. Pacheco, Sr., 84, of Beach St., Fall River, husband of Irene (Petrin) Pacheco, entered into the presence of the Lord after a courageous battle with leukemia, Saturday, June 20, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He was employed by K & G Dress Co., Barbara Pat Mfg., US Record Corp and Northeast Fixtures. He enjoyed landscaping, gardening, golfing and woodworking crafts. Besides his wife of 59 years, he leaves 5 children, James P. Pacheco, Jr. (Kim) of Acushnet, David Pacheco (Brenda) of New Bedford, Robert Pacheco (Cheryl) of Fall River, Colette Johnson (Paul) of Hamden, CT and Mark Pacheco (Vicki) of Swansea; 8 grandchildren, Scott, Angel, Russel, Alan and Jennifer Pacheco, Daniel and Hannah Johnson and Rebecca Porras (Kenny); a great-granddaughter, Jenea Grace Porras; siblings, Edward Pacheco, Arthur Pacheco and Pauline Kelly, all of Fall River and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late John P. and Maria B. (Serra) Pacheco and the brother of the late John Pacheco, Joseph Pacheco and Mary Rebello. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:15 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral service in Grace Gospel Church, 271 Sharps Lot Rd., Swansea at 10:30 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
