James A. Nordberg

James A. Nordberg, 79, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, Massachusetts. He was born on September 1, 1945, in Wilmar, Minnesota. James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Theresa (Camara) Nordberg, as well as his father, Harry Nordberg, and mother, Mildred (Nosbusch) Nordberg.

James proudly served his country as a Navy veteran during the Vietnam War, a period that deeply shaped his character and values. Later in life, he was employed as a slot machine supervisor at Foxwoods Casino until his retirement in 2014. Prior to this role, he contributed his skills as a forklift operator at Coppercraft Guild in Taunton.

James's interests were as diverse as his career. He took great pleasure in reading, strumming his guitar, and passionately supporting his favorite baseball team, the Boston Red Sox. His love for music and sports brought joy to those around him, creating cherished moments with family and friends.  

He is survived by his son Kenneth Bazinet, his wife Mary Beth Hebert, his daughter Elizabeth A. Moriarty, her husband Dan, and his son Gregory Bazinet, his partner Katie Brengle. James was a proud grandfather to Cassidy Bazinet (fiancé Jordan Bettencourt), Megan Moriarty, Julia Moriarty (partner Abra Clawson), Rook Bazinet, and Alex Bazinet.  He also leaves his beloved cat, Bert.  James was the brother of John Nordberg.

Visitation will be held on April 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a funeral service at 5:30 PM at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main Street, Fall River, Massachusetts.
