James E. Murphy

James E. Murphy, 84, of Locust St., Fall River, beloved husband of the late Claire A. (Champoux) Murphy, died Sunday, February 6, 2011. Jim served in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII. He leaves a daughter, Michel Daley and her husband Jay of North Kingstown, RI; a granddaughter, Megan Whelan and her husband Christopher of South Buffalo, NY; two great-grandchildren, Molly Claire, Andrew James and many nieces and nephews. He was the son of James W. and Elizabeth (Jackson) Murphy and predeceased by his siblings Katherine Grout, William, Thomas and Raymond Murphy. Following cremation, a memorial mass will be held Saturday, February 19, at 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Fall River. Visitation and flowers omitted.
