James L. Martin, Sr., 79, of County St., Somerset, formerly of Albert St., Fall River, husband of the late Lucille (Lariviere) Martin, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009.
The founder of Mar-Lou Draperies, he was past-president of the Lions Club and a member of St. Anne's Fellowship and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Anne Parish.
He leaves 2 daughters, Diane Audette of Somerset and Joane Mathieu and her husband Dennis of Fall River; grandchildren, Tracy Gabus and her husband Steven, Alan Audette and his wife Lisa, Daniel and Edward Audette and Kerrie, Peter and Jennifer Mathieu; great-grandchildren, Erin Gabus and Gavin and Connor Audette and nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late James L. Martin, Jr.; the son of the late Adelard and Parmelia (Lemoine) Martin and the brother of the late Jeannette Tessier and Wilfred, George and Victor Martin.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Patrick Church, Somerset at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
