James J. Lavoie

James J. Lavoie, 89, of Fall River, formerly of Dighton, died Sunday, December 28, 2014. A Navy veteran of WW II, he was employed by ICI, Dighton for many years. He was an animal lover and New England Patriots fan. He was the father of Jay Lavoie of Fall River, Christine Higgins (husband Christopher) of Tiverton and Steven Lavoie (wife Judy) and Patricia Frazier (late husband "Jr.") all of Fall River; the grandfather of Kerri, Kandi, Dan, Bill, John, Sherri, Kristie, Nikki and Ryan, great-grandfather of 21; the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Butler) Lavoie and the beloved companion of the late Barbara Babbitt. His funeral service will be held Friday morning at 10:00 AM at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Newport Memorial Park, Middletown, RI. Visitation Friday morning prior to service from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
