James F. Gregory

James F. Gregory, 93, formerly of Grinnell Ave., Tiverton, husband of the late Lucille (Morin) Gregory, entered into rest Saturday, November 19, 2016.

A Navy veteran of WW II and the Korean War, Chief Petty Officer Gregory served in the Navy for 23 years and then worked in Special Services at the Newport Naval Base for many years.

He leaves eight children, Ann Souza (husband Paul) and Joseph Gregory (wife Donna), all of Swansea, James Gregory of Colchester, CT and Joan Blanchette (husband Thomas) Mary Vieira (husband Robert), Ruth Murray (husband Robert), Vivian Milot (husband Marc) and Cecile Farias (husband Anthony), all of Tiverton; 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was the son of the late James and Anna (Nilan) Gregory.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Christopher Church, Tiverton at 10:00 a.m. Interment, Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.

Visitation, Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jimmy Fund, PO Box 849168, Boston MA 02284 or Patient Activities Fund, Silver Creek Manor, 7 Creek Lane, Bristol RI 02809.
