James Gillette

May 16, 1932 — March 9, 2013

James Gillette, 80, of So. Main St., Fall River, husband of Elaine (Thomas) Gillette, died Saturday, March 9, 2013. An Army veteran of the Korean War, he served in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was employed by Fall River Knitting Mills. He enjoyed cooking. Besides his wife of 60 years, he leaves 4 children, Beverly Gillette and her companion Joseph Riley of Sandwich, MA, Michael Gillette and Deborah Gillette and her partner Lori Borges, all of Fall River and Mary T. Gauvin and her husband Mark of Tiverton; granddaughters, Kelsey and Breanne Gauvin; siblings, Roy Gillette, Henry Gillett and Dorothy LaFleur, all of Fall River; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Louis and Agnes (Miller) Gillett and the brother of the late Irene Golisbrowski, Elizabeth Foley, Clara Harris, Annie Taylor and Wilfred, Gladys, George and Earl Gillett. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation, Wednesday morning prior to the funeral from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to Alzheimer's Assn., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown MA 02472 appreciated.
