James C. "Red" Donovan

April 16, 1943 — April 26, 2013

James C. "Red" Donovan, 70, of Fall River, husband of Ann L. (Natale) Donovan, died Friday, April 26, 2013, at home surrounded by his family.
A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1962, he worked in the family business A I Rent A Car and was a Trooper with the Massachusetts State Police. He and his wife enjoyed extensive traveling and attended many NSRA events with their close friends. He was a 30 year member of the National Street Rod Association. His favorite hobby was spending time with his son.
Besides his wife of 48 years, he leaves his son Kevin J. Donovan and his wife Janet of Westport; siblings, Michael Donovan, Marybeth DeNuccio, Janice Donovan, Neil Donovan and Carolyn Winnett and 23 nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Arthur and Margaret (Holen) Donovan and the brother of the late Arthur Donovan, Kathleen Rocha and Gerald Donovan.
His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Rosary Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visitation, Sunday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, if you wish you may make a donation to Boston Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston MA 02115 or Massachusetts General Hospital, 55 Fruit St., Boston MA 02114.
