Jacquelyn A. (Krysa) Mccarthy

August 7, 1933 — March 20, 2010

Jacquelyn A. (Krysa) McCarthy, 76, of "The Landmark", Fall River, formerly of Haffards St., widow of Jeremiah H. McCarthy, died Saturday, March 20, 2010. She was employed by Fall River Knitting Mills and then by Fall River News Co. for 27 years. An artist, she also sang on Fall River's local radio station in her youth. She leaves a daughter, Kathleen Banville of Fall River; grandchildren, Erin and Brian Banville; great-grandchildren, Kyle and Evan Monast and Gage Banville and a brother, Peter Krysa of Pittsfield, MA. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Evelyn (Langlois) Krysa. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Notre Dame Church at 10:30 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Wednesday morning prior to the funeral from 8:00 to 9:45 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Donations may be made to Forever Paws, 300 Lynwood St., Fall River MA 02721 or Faxon Animal Rescue League, 474 Durfee St., Fall River MA 02720.
