Jacoby Ryan Arruda

Jacoby Arruda, 15, of Seekonk, formerly of Dighton, unexpectedly passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, after sustaining injuries from a motor vehicle accident involving a drunk driver.  His doting grandparents Floriano “Flo” Arruda and Donna (Trahan) Arruda, who lovingly raised him also passed away as a result of the accident. Jacoby was the son of the late Ryan Arruda.
Jacoby formerly attended Dighton Rehoboth High School, where he was on the football and baseball teams.  He played in the Dartmouth Youth Football League and in AAU Baseball. Recently,
he began attending Seekonk High School where he was excited to start participating in different vocational courses. Jacoby loved spending time with his grandparents; they traveled to many
sporting events together to watch him play and watched as fans for many Celtics, Patriots, Bruins and Red Sox games. He enjoyed playing video games, eating taquitos for breakfast, always stopped to pet a dog, he was a good friend to many and was known to get a laugh with his quick wit. He had a beautiful smile and will be remembered by all for it.

He is survived by his aunts and uncles, Lisa Rebello Napert (husband Brock), Carl Rebello,  Lisa Arruda-Graham (husband John) and Keith Arruda. His mother, Krystal (Rosado) Roszak and grandmother Maria Rosado.  Cousins Kory Arruda, Robert John (RJ) Graham, Jordan Dion, Makayla Pimentel, Austin Arruda, Hailey Arruda, Alexis Arruda, Keith Arruda Jr., Alexis Pacheco, Aliyah Fonseca and many other family members and friends who loved and cared for him immensely.

His visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 5 at 10:00 AM at St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset. (Everyone to meet directly at church).
Burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery.
