J. Scott Mitchell

J. Scott Mitchell, 83, formerly of Lewis St., Fall River, husband of Gloria (Ramos) Mitchell, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013. A retired financial controller, he was employed by Eagle Tool, Inc., Providence RI for many years. He was past-president of St. Stanislaus Parish Men's Club, a member of the Parish Choir and an active Parish Festival volunteer. Besides his wife of 41 years he leaves 3 children, Martin Hart and Corey Hart, both of British Columbia, Canada and Heather Mitchell Davidson (A. J. Davidson) of London, England; stepchildren, Manuel Martines (Gail Anderson) of Burlington, MA, Cheryl Rivard (Norman) of East Freetown, MA, Karen Gaynor (David Cardoza) and Michael S. Martines of Monterey, CA; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a brother, Duncan Mitchell of Ontario, Canada and nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Cameron Mitchell, the son of the late John Scott and Elizabeth (Dickson) Mitchell and the brother of the late George Mitchell. His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Stanislaus Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Friday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
