Izaura Maria (DaRoias) Vertentes, 87, of Globe St., Fall River, widow of Antonio Vertentes, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 leaving over 100 direct descendants. She enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was the mother of Antonio Vertentes (wife Ann), Connie Novo (husband Joseph), John Vertentes (wife Maria), Louise Vertentes, Rosalina Rousseau (husband Wayne), Lucy Silva (husband Herculano), Olga Gaspar (husband Joseph), Lisa Vertentes, Deborah Rezendes (husband Joseph), Donna Santos (husband Joseph), Louis Vertentes (wife Rosie) and the late Nuno "Cheyenne", Louise, Louis, Deborah and Izaura Vertentes. Her funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Monday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
