Irma (Mitchell) Roberts

Irma (Mitchell) Roberts, 70, of Alberta Ave., Somerset, wife of Ronald Roberts, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011. An avid Red Sox fan, she was a volunteer and benefactor of the Somerset Senior Girls Softball League. Most important in her life were her beloved husband, children and grandchildren and of course her iced coffee. Besides her husband of 44 years, she leaves 3 children, Karen Britland (Joseph) of Assonet, Ronald J. Roberts (Chandra Silva) of Fall River, and Renée Petrin (Barry) of Somerset; 8 grandchildren, Joshua, Matthew and Christopher Britland, Zachary, Nathaniel and Emily Roberts, and Riley and Cameron Petrin; siblings, Fall River City Councillor Raymond A. Mitchell, Sharon Codega, William Mitchell and Roger Mitchell, all of Fall River, Lloyd "Mitch" Mitchell of NY, Robert Mitchell of Franklin, MA, and Nancy Carvalho of CT; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Charron) Mitchell. Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Louis de France Church, Swansea, at 10:00 AM. Burial, Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
