Irene V. Deschenes

Irene V. Deschenes, 77, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024. She was employed as a CNA, working at various nursing homes in Fall River. She had also worked at Kerr Mill and CVS. She enjoyed bowling, square dancing, traveling and playing cards. Irene is survived by her siblings, Lauretta Gonyon (husband Daryl), Claudette St. Laurent (husband Robert), Lucille Tarvis (late husband Antone), Anne Marie Mayes (husband Elmer),, Robert Deschenes (wife Yvette) and Albert Deschenes (late wife Maria).

She also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was the daughter of the late Albert Deschenes and Bermonde (Lemieux) Deschenes. She was the sister of the late Sister Rita Deschenes, S.S.J., Pauline Birge (husband Gordon), Paul Deschenes, Doris Vallee (husband Raymond), Raymond J. Deschenes (wife Diane), Richard Deschenes and Alice Beauchesne (husband Robert).

A Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 19 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St., Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, March 20 at 9:00 from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity Church, Stafford Rd., at 10:00 AM.

Burial at Notre Dame Cemetery.
