Irene G. Nevins

Irene G. Nevins, 71, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

She was the companion of the late David Marsh.

Born in Eschwege, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Edward Nevins and the late Elfriede E. (Schultz) Nevins. She was the sister of the late Patrick Nevins.

Irene was a graduate of Bristol High School in 1970. She then attended UMass Dartmouth Pre-Med from 1970 to 1973 receiving an associates degree. In her free time she loved gardening. Irene would harvest fruits and vegetables from her plants and use them in various meals.She did seasonal work harvesting cranberries. She was an avid reader and writer who loved learning more about gardening. Irene loved her faithful dog, the late Dubie.

Irene is survived by her sister, Elaine Bailey, formerly of Rhode Island, and now resides in FL; A niece, Cassie Bailey, formerly of Cranston, RI, now residing in Groton, CT.

In lieu of a service, all who wish to honor Irene’s life are invited to do something she loved and grow something in her honor.
