Irene C. (Monast) Levesque

Irene C. (Monast) Levesque, 99, formerly of Broad St. Fall River, widow of Albert A. Levesque, died Sunday, April 10, 2011. A Marian Medal recipient, she was past president of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of the former Blessed Sacrament Parish, and a member of the Women's Guild of Holy Ghost Parish. Survivors include 4 children, Anne Fleck of Shelton, CT, Elaine Osborne and her husband John of Tiverton, Edward Levesque and his wife Pierette of Cortez, Colorado and Armand Levesque and his wife Rose of Westport, MA; sisters, Lorraine Marceau of MI, Juliette Smith and Claire Carpenter, both of Florida and Therese Arntz of VA; 17 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Calixte and Dorina (Lapointe) Monast; the sister of the late Doris Reeves and Rene, Roland, Rudolph, Walter and Richard Monast; and the foster mother of the late Charles Fitzgerald. Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton at 11:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
