Imelda (Levesque) Cowell

Imelda "Mel" (Levesque) Cowell, 93, of Highland Ave., Fall River, formerly of Lafayette Place, died Sunday, November 12, 2006 at Catholic Memorial Home.
She was the wife of the late Milton Cowell.
Born in, and a lifelong resident of, Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Augustin and Leonie (Frigone) Levesque.
Mrs. Cowell was employed by the former J. J. Newberry Department Store for 50 years and was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne Sodality of Notre Dame Parish.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Scheetz and her husband Dennis of South Portland, Maine;
a sister, Gertrude Cote of Fall River;
a brother, Normand Levesque of Florida;
6 grandchildren, Denise Moniz, Matthew Cowell, Cheryl Lopollo, Elizabeth Piechowski, Jeff Scheetz and Andrew Scheetz;
11 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Ernest Cowell
and the sister of the late Rose St.Pierre, Irene Castonguay and Hormidas "Chico", Lionel, Ernest, Wilfred, Roland, George and Augustin Levesque.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in the chapel of Catholic Memorial Home, 2446 Highland Ave., at 9:30 AM.
Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.
Visitation, Tuesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
During the Visitation, we will be playing her Video Tribute.
