Ilda (Lindo) Raposo

Ilda (Lindo) Raposo,90, of Fall River, wife of the late Jose O. "Lucindra" Raposo, and retired employee of Whaling Manufacturing, passed away Friday, November 4, 2022.  She was born in Bretanha, St.Michael, Azores.

Ilda enjoyed cooking, sewing and spending time with her great-grandchildren.

She was the mother of Joseph Raposo (wife Maria) and John Raposo, all of Fall River and the late Jose Jorge Raposo; the grandmother of Gershon Raposo (wife Vickie), Queila Raposo, Matthew John Raposo (wife Christina Raposo) and Jessica Powers (husband Timothy Powers); the great-grandmother of Roman and Levi Raposo and Naya Raposo;

Ilda was the last survivor of 21 siblings and the daughter of the late Francisco Cabral Lindo and Guilhermina Miguel.  She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 9, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, November 10, at 10:00 A.M. from the funeral home with a Funeral Mass at Espirito Santo Church at 11:00 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents for their compassion and care they gave to Ilda during her stay at the Fall River Jewish Home.
