Herta C. (Schmidl) Dube

Herta C. (Schmidl) Dube, 93, of Somerset, formerly of Fall River, widow of Henry "Dick" Dube, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015. Born in Germany, she served in the German Air Force "Luftwaffe" and was a teletypist and code machine cryptologist. A former employee of Center Garment, she enjoyed traveling, especially to her Native Germany, reading, and English and German crossword puzzles. She was a fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins and especially the German Soccer Team, FC Bayern Munich and a longtime member of the German Club of Bristol County. She leaves three sons, Ronald M. Dube of Lakeville, Gary G. Dube and his wife Beverly of Somerset and Frederick A. Dube and his wife Christine of Portsmouth, RI; grandchildren, Rachel Dube, Derek Dube, Eric Dube and Matthew Dube, Lisa Anderson (Christopher), Melanie Kirk (Christopher) and Christopher Bruscato (Megan); great-grandchildren, Alexis Dube, Donovan Anderson, Dakota Costa, Triton Kirk and Jack and Conner Bruscato; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Mathias and Theresa (Rupp) Schmidl and the sister of the late Maria Lederer, Anna Coogan, Elizabeth Rindlbacher and Mathias and Johannes Schmidl. Visitation at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, Sunday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, followed by her funeral service at 12:00 noon.
