Henry L. Caron

June 25, 1925 — March 22, 2006

Henry L. Caron, 80, of Bates St., Fall River, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at Saint Anne's Hospital, following a long illness. He was the husband of Ruth (Perry) Caron. A lifelong resident of Fall River, he was the son of the late Henry and Yvonne (Lambert) Caron. A Navy veteran of WW II, he was the recipient of the American Theatre ribbon, the European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and the WW II Victory Medal. He was a member of the former St. Patrick Parish for over 40 years and enjoyed reading and sports and was a lifelong Red Sox fan. Besides his wife, survivors include a daughter, Diane Vasconcelles and her husband Manny of Little Compton; 2 sons, Steven Caron of Tiverton and David Caron and his wife Anne of Danvers, MA; a sister, Yvette Greenhalgh of Westport; a brother, Paul Caron of Tiverton and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Hector Caron, Cecile Keefner, Jeanne Medeiros, Rita Shaputnick, Rae LeBrun and Irene Stewart. His funeral will be held SaturdayMarch 25, 2006 at 9:00 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church at 10:00 AM. Visitation, Saturday morning prior to the funeral from 8:00 to 9:30 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home.
