Henri C. Lavoie, 86, of Grattan St., Fall River, husband of Alice (Nault) Lavoie, died Sunday, December 2, 2012. A Navy veteran of WW II, and firefighter, he was a 32 year member of the Fall River Fire Department and was Past Commander of the Franco American War Veterans. Besides his wife of 59 years, he leaves 7 children, Pauline Warren and her husband Paul of Norton, Henry Lavoie and his wife Deborah of Assonet, Robert Lavoie of Swansea, Ronald Lavoie of Las Vegas, NV, Alan Lavoie and his wife Lynn of Berkley, Normand Lavoie of Fall River and Roland Lavoie and his wife Lisa of Westport; 13 grandchildren, Adam and Justin Warren, and Holly, Melanie, Ryan, Katy, Sierra, Mitchell, Justine, Jillian, Matthew, Kimberly and Megan Lavoie; siblings, Brother Robert Lavoie, S.C. of Connecticut, George E. J. Lavoie and Lucille Demers, both of Fall River, Claire Neves of NW Miami, FL and Yvette Berube of Tiverton; and nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Theophane and Lucie (Gagnon) Lavoie and the brother of the late Wilfrid, Arthur and Dr. Philippe Lavoie. His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:30 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River with a funeral mass in Holy Trinity Church at 10:30 AM. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation, Wednesday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. Please omit flowers.
