Helena Ann (Rebello) Lindo

Helena Ann (Rebello) Lindo, R.N.,73, of Fall River, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 fighting COVID-19, that which she fought tirelessly to keep from the residents of the Fall River Jewish Home.

A graduate of Somerset High School Class of 1965, she also graduated from the Union Hospital School of Nursing in 1968. She worked at the Fall River Jewish Home as the RN Infection Control Nurse for over 15 years.  She also leaves several co-workers and close friends from Crestwood Nursing Home in Warren, RI, and Eastgate Nursing Home in East Providence, RI, where she served as the RN Director of Nurses.

She dedicated over 52 years of her life taking care of the most vulnerable members of our society.  She loved every one of her residents and shed many tears at their passing.  In so many cases, she held the hands of residents with no-one left in their lives, showing them love as they found peace.

She leaves a son David Lindo, his longtime companion, Mary Reynolds, grandchildren, Molly and Kylie Lindo and Danny Reynolds. She was the grandmother of the late Mallorie and Donovan Lindo and the daughter of the late George and Anna (Machado) Rebello.

Private arrangements were entrusted to the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River.
