Helen (Silvia) Swist

Helen (Silvia) Swist, RN, 91, of Fall River, formerly of Portsmouth, RI, widow of Henry Swist and mother of the late Michael Swist, died Friday, July 10, 2015. A Registered Nurse and graduate of Newport Hospital School of Nursing, she was employed by the former Truesdale Hospital and was a life-member of the East End Sportsman's Club. She leaves four children, Carol Little and her husband Stephen of Thomaston, Maine, David Swist and his wife Dana of Portsmouth, RI, Mary Clement and her husband Clifford of Somerset and Susan Kosinski and her husband Charles of Swansea; grandchildren, Sheri Whipple, Andrea Little, Elizabeth Cagnon, Jessica Morris, Amanda Benjamin, Keith, Adam and Alex Swist, David Clement, Katherine Barnes, Sarah Morin, Carolyn Fisher and Lauren Kosinski; 19 great-grandchildren; a brother, Henry Silvia of Tiverton and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude (Merinho) Silvia and the sister of the late Larry, Joseph and Antone Silvia and Anna Ferreira. Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at Holy Name Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial, St. Patrick Cemetery.
