Helen V. (Deschenes) Rivard

Helen V. (Deschenes) Rivard, 86, formerly of Oliver St., Fall River, widow of Raymond R. Rivard, died Thursday, October 13, 2011. She was employed by the former Fall River National Bank for many years. She was a Samaritans of Fall River volunteer and a lover of reading and music. She sang in the St. Anne Parish Choir and participated in Little Theater productions. She leaves two daughters, Virginia F. Rivard and her husband Dion Dennis of New Bedford, and Jane R. King and her husband Dr. Thomas V. King of Greenland, NH; six grandchildren, Benjamin and Samuel Rivard-Rapoza, and Jonathan, Anna, Rebecca and Daniel King. She was the daughter of the late William and Albina (Fayan) Deschenes, and the sister of the late Edna Baker. Her funeral will be held Thursday, October 20, at 10:45 AM from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in St. Anne Church at 11:30 AM. Burial, Notre Dame Cemetery. Visitation, Thursday morning prior to the funeral from 10:00 to 10:45 AM. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home.
