Gregory Squillante

February 9, 1949 — December 8, 2014

Gregory "Greg"Squillante, 65, of Somerset, MA and Fort Myers, FL, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014. He was the husband of Jo Ann (Booker) Squillante and the son of the late Dr O. John and Alice (Tavares) Squillante. Greg graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and from SMU with a Master's Degree in Physics. Greg will be remembered as a devoted husband, a dedicated father and a successful businessman. He was a mentor to many, generously sharing his wisdom and experience thereby empowering those around him. He demonstrated a significant entrepreneurial capability, evident in his role as an outstanding leader in the Fall River real estate industry as a pioneer in the development of commercial properties. He was also the first Executive Director of Prima CARE, P.C. of Fall River. Gregory retired but remained actively involved in many businesses, charitable and family pursuits, but he always said his greatest legacy is his children. After retiring, Greg spent an increasing amount of time at his beloved gardens in Westport, MA, a property he built into a serene environment for all to enjoy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by the following: his children, Lisa Esten (Marc Dunn) of Somerset, MA, Shannon Dean Khoury (Mike Aubry) of Swansea, MA and Brad Dean (wife Kelli) of Westport, MA; his grandchildren: Emily, Andrew & Kathrine Esten, Zachary Dean, Samuel Khoury, Jake Barlow, Benjamin & Abigail Dean; his brothers Richard and Jerome Squillante of Rhode Island and his sister Maria Gillett of Florida and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late John Squillante. Visiting hours will be held at the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St, Fall River, Friday, December 12 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with a funeral service during the visitation at 6:00 PM. Cremation to follow. LARGE PARKING AREA & BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the POTEGP Spiritual Center, 311 Sanford Rd, Westport, MA 02790; or to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101 A First Ave., Waltham MA 02451.
