Grace C. (Slater) Gagne

September 20, 1922 — May 29, 2010

Grace (Slater) Gagne, 87, of Tiverton, widow of Conrad Gagne, died Saturday, May 29, 2010. A Second Class Aviation Machinist Mate Navy WAVES veteran of WW II, she was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Tiverton and a Charter Member of the Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation. She was employed by the Office of Price Administration of the Fall River Rationing Board, the Fall River Public Welfare Department and Korber Hat Co. She leaves 4 children, Donna Cook (husband John) of Tiverton, Linda McCarty (husband Jerry) of Pocasset, MA, Gary Gagne of Portsmouth, RI and Dean Gagne of Tiverton; grandchildren, Erin Cook-Dumas (husband Carl), Kelli Cook, Ryan Cook (wife Janet) and Chelsey and Brent McCarty; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Slater, Mason, Gunner and Finnley Cook-Dumas and Dylan, Kyra and Bryn Cook; and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Ella (Golden) Slater and the sister of the late Gertrude Lavoie. A funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM in St. Anne Church, Fall River. Relatives and friends invited. Burial private. Visitation and flowers omitted. Donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 60 Walnut St., Wellesley Hills MA 02481 appreciated. .
