Gloria (Ramos) Mitchell

Gloria (Ramos) Mitchell, 85, formerly of Fall River and Swansea, wife of the late John Scott Mitchell and former wife of the late Manuel Martines, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018.

A former member of St. Dominic Parish Guild and Bowling League, Swansea, the Luther Barney PTA and Swansea Democratic Committee, she was also a member of the St. Stanislaus Parish Choir, Ladies Guild and Senior Citizens Club, Fall River.

She leaves five children, Manuel Martines of Haverhill, MA, Cheryl Rivard (Norman) of East Freetown, MA, Karen Gaynor (David Cardoza) and Michael S. Martines, all of Monterey, CA and Heather Mitchell Davidson (A. J. Davidson) of Boca Raton, FL; stepchildren, Martin Hart and Corey Hart, both of Canada; many grandchildren including, Ryan Rivard (Melissa), Rebecca Martins, Kimberly Martines, Kristina Martines, Julia Martines, Meryl Davidson and Rachel Davidson; many great-grandchildren; siblings, John Ramos, Armande M. Ramos and Anna Gonsalves and nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Concaison) Ramos and the stepmother of the late Cameron Mitchell.

Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 20, at 9:00 AM from the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass at St. Stanislaus Church at 10:00 AM. Interment, Notre Dame Cemetery.

Visitation, Friday, January 19, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Large parking area & barrier-free entrance at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverly Oaks Rd., Waltham MA 02452.
