Gloria M. Melendez

Gloria M. Melendez, 68, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022, after a long battle with Liver disease and cancer. Gloria was born on December, 17th, 1953 in Salinas, Puerto Rico. She was a Homemaker, who was very passionate about her family. A genuinely kind, caring, and supportive mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She would help anyone, anytime in need. Known for her kind heart, gentleness, and funny jokes. She could make anyone laugh and feel welcome. She loved spending time with her family and friends, dancing salsa, listening to oldies, watching movies, and going out to eat, especially at the Olive Garden. She was a beautiful soul loved by many.

She is survived by her four daughters, Estelle Melendez, Kristina Melendez, Eileen Melendez-Rivas (husband Will), and Jacqueline Diaz (husband Warles); grandchildren, Jadianne Melendez, Jack Diaz, Grayson Deleon, Zalee Melendez, Alex Melendez, Noah Rivas, and Elijah Rivas; Ex-Husband, Noman Melendez (separated); siblings, Elsie Sanchez, Awilda Torres, Lucrecia Semidey, Martina Santiago, Hector Torres, Angelo Torres, Alicia Garcia, and Hector Torres Jr.

Preceding her in death was her father Angel Torres Torres; Mother, Mariana Sanchez Mora; Sister, Nilda Sanchez, Sister, Mariana Franceschini; Brother, Chris Torres; And longtime companion, Caesar Orsini (Junior).

The visitation will be held at the Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St, Fall River, MA on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 12:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. There will be a funeral service in the funeral home at 1:00 P.M.

Relatives and close friends are welcome to join us in celebration of Gloria's life at McGovern’s restaurant, 310 Shove St, Fall River, MA from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
