Gloria L. (Conrad) Belisle, 81, of Warren St., Fall River, widow of Edmond Joseph Belisle, died February 17, 2011. She enjoyed reading and shopping especially for gifts to give. She was an avid Red Sox fan who watched just about every game and loved going to Fenway with her family. She was legendary for her tradition of sending hundreds of Christmas cards with handwritten notes to family, distant relatives and friends. She received the most enjoyment in spending time with her family and friends attending as many parties and gatherings as she possibly could. She leaves nine children, Cheryl Belisle, Mark Belisle and his wife Deborah, Michelle Belisle, and Dawn Delisle and her husband Robert, all of Fall River, Vivian Belisle of Pawtucket, RI, Rosemarie Belisle, and Edmond Belisle, Jr., both of Dartmouth, MA, Antonio Belisle of Florida, and Deborah Belisle of Somerset. The beloved "Nana" of over 50 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, she also leaves siblings, Audrey Gesualdi of Johnston, RI, Grace Chatelle of Dayville, CT and Ralph Shippee of CT; a very special friend and "daughter", Irene Dube of Somerset; and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Armand Belisle, and the sister of the late Fred Shippee. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday February 22nd at 10:30 AM in the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Visitation, hours will be 1:00 to 3:00 and 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday February 21st. LARGE PARKING AREA and BARRIER-FREE ENTRANCE at the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the funeral home which will be given to the Southcoast Center for Cancer Care in memory of Gloria Belisle and if possible to make a blood donation to the Southcoast Blood Drive in Gloria's name to help other patients with Leukemia.
